Reunion planning checklist: 20 steps for a perfect evening
To organise a reunion, work through five phases: booking a venue (6 months out), tracking down attendees and selling tickets (3–4 months), confirming catering and the programme (1–2 months), sending a final reminder (the week before), and following up with a photo album afterwards. This 20-step checklist walks you through every phase.

Extra tips from experienced organisers
Set an early registration deadline ('register before 1 May') — this creates urgency and gives you a clearer headcount sooner.
Create a separate WhatsApp group for people who have already registered. It builds anticipation and drives extra engagement.
Send your invitation on a Tuesday afternoon — research shows emails get opened most frequently then.
Plan at least 1.5 hours of 'free time'. People want to catch up — that's the whole point of the evening.
Put out name badges at the entrance (optionally with an old photo). It breaks the ice enormously.
